Day 20: Collections take a dip<\/p>\n

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, \u2018Saiyaara\u2019 earned Rs 2 crore on its 20th day in cinemas, which was its third Wednesday. This brings the film\u2019s total collection to Rs 306.6 crore in India. A day earlier, on its third Tuesday, it collected Rs 2.50 crore, a slight rise from its third Monday\u2019s Rs 2.35 crore. But the drop on Day 20 shows that the film is now entering its natural decline phase after a stellar run.<\/p>\n

Holding strong against the competition<\/p>\n

Despite the slowdown, \u2018Saiyaara\u2019 is still holding its own against new releases. On the same Wednesday, \u2018Son Of Sardaar 2\u2019 starring Ajay Devgn<\/a> and Mrunal Thakur<\/a> earned Rs 2.75 crore, taking its total to Rs 29.85 crore. Meanwhile, \u2018Dhadak 2\u2019, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, managed Rs 1 crore, bringing its total to Rs 15.40 crore. Even with these new films in theatres, \u2018Saiyaara\u2019 continues to draw in steady numbers.<\/p>\n

A Rs 500 crore worldwide milestone<\/p>\n

Beyond its India collections, \u2018Saiyaara\u2019 has also crossed Rs 500 crore at the worldwide box office. The makers celebrated this huge feat with an official Instagram post, writing, “Saiyaara found a home in your hearts \u2013 and we couldn\u2019t be more thankful.”<\/p>\n

Closing in on North America\u2019s top spot<\/p>\n

By 3rd August, \u2018Saiyaara\u2019 had become the second highest\u2011grossing Bollywood film of the year in North America, only behind \u2018Chhaava\u2019, led by Vicky Kaushal. While \u2018Chhaava\u2019 stands at about USD 6.4 million, \u2018Saiyaara\u2019 has reached USD 5.1 million. Whether it overtakes the top spot will depend on how long it keeps its screens.<\/p>\n

Limited time before ‘War 2’ release<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s journey isn\u2019t over yet, but the clock is ticking. \u2018War 2\u2019, starring Hrithik Roshan<\/a>, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani<\/a>, hits screens on 14th August.
