LEWISBURG, Pa. \u2014 Bucknell women’s tennis took two points in its 5-2 loss to Michigan State on Sunday evening. With the loss, the Bison moved to 6-6 overall.<\/p>\n
After dropping the doubles match at the No. 2 spot, the Bison took the matches on court one and court three to earn Bucknell the doubles point and an early 1-0 lead over the Spartans. Abby Platt<\/a> and Riley Jennings<\/a> completed the weekend sweep of doubles win as they took their third in a row, this time with a 6-4 victory over Morais and Parkins-Godwin. Following their win, Cameron King<\/a> and Natalie Devraj<\/a> defeated Blackford and Fazlagil 7-6(8) at the No. 3 spot.\u00a0<\/p>\n Michigan State then took five of the six singles matches of the night. The lone Bison victory in singles play came at the No. 6 spot as Devraj defeated Purser 7-5, 6-3 to earn an undefeated night against the Spartans with wins in doubles and singles play.\u00a0<\/p>\n Bucknell will next take the courts in Hawaii for their spring break competition trip as they face Hawaii on Sunday, March 8 at 6 p.m. ET and Chaminade on Monday, March 9 at 5 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n Singles (order of finish: 2,4,3,1,6,5)<\/p>\n
