Both drugs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/novo-nordisk-announces-significant-reduction-in-us-list-price-for-wegovy-ozempic-and-rybelsus-semaglutide-medicines-building-on-continued-efforts-to-expand-access-302695705.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">will be listed at $675 per month<\/a> beginning on Jan. 1, 2027, \u201crepresenting reductions of approximately 50% and 35% for Wegovy and Ozempic, respectively,\u201d according to Novo Nordisk.<\/p>\n<p>The price cut will be designed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/2026\/02\/24\/novo-slashes-ozempic-wegovy-prices-effective-jan-1-2027\/88826854007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">make Ozempic and Wegovy more affordable<\/a> for people who receive the diabetes and obesity drugs through their health insurance, Novo Nordisk said.<\/p>\n<p>Some insurance plans link coverage and out-of-pocket costs to the list price of medications. The upcoming price cuts will be the most helpful for \u201cindividuals with high-deductible health plans or co-insurance benefit designs,\u201d said Jamey Millar, executive vice president of U.S. operations.<\/p>\n<p>Novo Nordisk already announced <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/wegovy-zepbound-novo-price-cuts-0305653d2fa4de1fed84a4e29407d4ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Ozempic and Wegovy price cuts<\/a> for some people last year, with the drugs now costing $349 per month for those paying full price without insurance.
