Andie MacDowell is getting more stunning with age.<\/p>\n

The acclaimed actress, 67, who is best known for roles in\u00a0movies<\/a>\u00a0like\u00a0Four Weddings and a Funeral,\u00a0St. Elmo\u2019s Fire, and\u00a0Sex, Lies, and Videotape, attended the Giorgio Armani<\/a> fashion show during the Milan Fashion Week this week in Milan, Italy, and was stunning enough to work the runway herself. Dressed in a black suit and sunglasses, the beauty sported her full gray hair<\/a> tucked back into a chic, low bun. Aging like a fine wine, MacDowell seems to be getting more beautiful as the years pass by.<\/p>\n

Embracing Her Gray Hair<\/p>\n

MacDowell pointed out to\u00a0NewBeauty<\/a> in 2024 that nobody would care about her gray hair if she were a man. But the idea that she embraces the color as a woman is seen as revolutionary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI finally got the courage during COVID when I saw it with my eyes and my skin color,\u201d MacDowell said. \u201cOnce it was growing out, I could see what the color was going to be like, and I really loved it. I knew it was time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Refusing to Feel ‘Shameful’ About Aging<\/p>\n

Recently, MacDowell joined\u00a0The\u00a0Drew Barrymore<\/a>\u00a0Show\u00a0by video\u00a0to drop some serious knowledge about the pressure women feel to \u201clook young\u201d despite growing older.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur dear friend of the show who comes here all the time \u2014 and\u00a0someone I worked with when I was 16 years old \u2014\u00a0the great Andie MacDowell, she sent us in a video,\u201d\u00a0Drew Barrymore\u00a0shared with the audience during the \u201c50 F\u2014Its\u201d segment. (The duo appeared together in the 1994 western\u00a0Bad Girls\u00a0alongside\u00a0Madeleine Stowe\u00a0and\u00a0Mary Stuart Masterson.) \u201cAnd I think it really talks about and addresses some of the expectations that we put on ourselves, that society puts on us. Take a look at this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI love you<\/a>, Drew! Thank you for doing this,\u201d MacDowell shared. \u201cI look back at my\u00a0grandmother<\/a>, who was the matriarch.\u00a0A strong woman. We just revered her. We respected her. We never would\u2019ve ever expected her to look young. That was not a concept that existed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress continued, explaining that the way she looks as she ages is up to her, not what society says she should look like.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis concept has demeaned us as we age. It has now made us feel shameful,\u201d she shared. \u201cI have three little grandchildren and I\u2019m gonna be a grandmother for them and I\u2019m gonna look like I\u2019m supposed to look, because I love myself. And I don\u2019t have to look young. And I love you for doing this!\u201d<\/p>\n

Barrymore was joined by a panel that included\u00a0Halle Berry<\/a>,\u00a0Valerie Bertinelli, and\u00a0Nate Burleson\u00a0to discuss the topic of aging, particularly after the age of 50.<\/p>\n
