\n\tThe 2026 Actor Awards<\/a> \u2014\u00a0previously known as the SAG Awards \u2014 have come and gone, and the Screen Actors Guild has celebrated the best work in their industry. The light and speedy ceremony focused on award distribution and speeches versus long comedic bits and musical numbers, but there were plenty of unexpected moments. Check out some of the night\u2019s biggest snubs and surprises below.<\/p>\n

\t\tSurprise: Michael B. Jordan nabs best actor away from Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet\t<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough the biggest narrative of award season has been Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet\u2019s quest for an Oscar for \u201cMarty Supreme,\u201d his fellow actors chose to celebrate Jordan\u2019s dual role in \u201cSinners\u201d instead. After Jordan\u2019s win, \u201cSinners\u201d went on to win the night\u2019s big ensemble award as well.<\/p>\n

\t\tSurprise: Sean Penn skipping the ceremony, despite a surge in his supporting actor campaign \u2014\u00a0and winning his Actor award\t<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor famously does what he wants and doesn\u2019t like to participate in award season, but it seems like he would have shown up for this.<\/p>\n

\t\tSurprise: Michelle Williams\u2019 win for \u201cDying for Sex\u201d\t<\/p>\n

\n\tGiven the overwhelming awards success of \u201cAdolescence,\u201d it was nice to see Williams\u2019 strong turn in the dramedy get recognition.<\/p>\n

\t\tSurprise: Woody Harrelson\u2019s funny speech to present the Life Achievement Award to Harrison Ford\t<\/p>\n

\n\tIt initially seemed like an odd pairing, but it was fun to see Harrelson\u2019s unconventional, warm and familiar speech for his buddy Ford. Plus, he got to take a few fun shots at the legend \u2014 it was a good time!<\/p>\n

\t\tSurprise: Uncensored swearing onstage\t<\/p>\n

\n\tI\u2019m no puritan, but given the traditional award show trappings, it was strange to hear host Kristen Bell and several winners casually drop f-bombs on Netflix.<\/p>\n

\t\tSurprise: The lighting was terrible\t<\/p>\n

\n\tSurely all of these beautiful people aren\u2019t so orange and sweaty in real life!<\/p>\n

\t\tSurprise: SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin praises Ted Sarandos for Netflix\u2019s support of the union\t<\/p>\n

\n\tIt makes sense as the show aired on the streamer, but it was also telling timing, given that contract negotiations are going on.<\/p>\n

\t\tSnubbed: Rhea Seehorn\u2019s work in \u201cPluribus\u201d\t<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Keri Russell is beloved, it seems like perhaps the \u201cWhite Lotus\u201d voters split ballots between Parker Posey and Aimee Lou Wood, and sci-fi fans split between Seehorn and \u201cSeverance\u201d star Britt Lower, leaving Russell the sole survivor.<\/p>\n

\t\tSurprise: \u201cThe Last of Us\u201d wins best stunt ensemble\t<\/p>\n
