A sharp shift in temperatures is expected across southern Ontario this week, beginning with frigid wind chills before a steady warm-up pushes daytime highs into double digits by the weekend.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what the weather will look like for the week of March 2 to March 7:<\/p>\n

Sunday night will stay clear with winds picking up to 20 km\/h. Temperatures will drop to -18 C, with wind chills near -15 C in the evening and falling further to -25 C overnight.<\/p>\n

Monday brings sunshine with light winds of 15 km\/h. The daytime high will reach -5 C, though it will feel closer to -24 C in the morning before warming up to -11 C by afternoon.<\/p>\n

Clear skies linger overnight with a low of -9 C and wind chills hit -16 C in the evening.<\/p>\n

Tuesday will be cloudy with a 70 per cent chance of snow or rain as temperatures rise above freezing to 2 C. Overnight periods remain mostly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of snow as lows dip to -2 C.<\/p>\n

Wednesday holds steady with overcast skies and a high of 4 C. Temperatures ease slightly overnight, settling near 2 C.<\/p>\n

Thursday brings a 60 per cent chance of rain with highs of 4 C. A few showers remain possible overnight as temperatures stay mild at 4 C.<\/p>\n

Friday sees milder air move in, with a 40 per cent chance of rain and a high of 8 C. Evening temperatures will slip slightly to 7 C under mostly cloudy skies.<\/p>\n

Saturday continues the warming trend with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a daytime high of 11 C. Evening temperatures hover near 9 C but may feel closer to -1 C as cooler air returns.<\/p>\n
