{"id":509711,"date":"2026-03-02T15:59:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T15:59:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/509711\/"},"modified":"2026-03-02T15:59:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T15:59:12","slug":"report-texans-trade-tackle-tytus-howard-to-browns-for-fifth-round-pick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/509711\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: Texans trade tackle Tytus Howard to Browns for fifth-round pick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cleveland Browns have made their first big move of the off-season.<\/p>\n<p>Cleveland acquired right tackle Tytus Howard from the Houston Texans for a fifth-round pick, ESPN&#8217;s Adam Schefter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/48080683\/texans-trade-starting-rt-tytus-howard-browns-source-says\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The Browns signed also Howard to a three-year, $63-million contract extension, per Schefter.<\/p>\n<p>Howard, a first-round pick in 2019, has spent his entire seven-year career in Houston.<\/p>\n<p>He has appeared in 93 games, including 16 in each of the past two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Now, he&#8217;ll be in charge of protecting Browns QB Shedeur Sanders as he looks to lead Cleveland back to the playoffs under new head coach Todd Monken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Cleveland Browns have made their first big move of the off-season.
