{"id":509963,"date":"2026-03-02T18:50:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T18:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/509963\/"},"modified":"2026-03-02T18:50:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T18:50:16","slug":"montreal-police-seek-victims-of-sexual-assault-by-former-hospital-employee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/509963\/","title":{"rendered":"Montreal police seek victims of sexual assault by former hospital employee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Montreal police (SPVM) are seeking public\u2019s help in finding other potential victims of a former hospital worker who is facing a charge of sexual assault.<\/p>\n<p>SPVM said 49-year-old Abdelaali Laaziz, former employee at Maisonneuve-Rosement Hospital was arrested on Feb. 1 in connection with alleged acts of sexual assault in December 2025 while he was on-duty.<\/p>\n<p>Through an investigation, police believe that there could be other victims of Laaziz, who came into contact with many vulnerable patients at the hospital as part of his job as a patient attendant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe information gathered suggests that he took advantage of his position to perform sexual acts on certain patients,\u201d SPVM said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe also allegedly offered unnecessary care or care that was not part of the treatment plan, using these pretexts to commit other acts of a sexual nature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SPVM said Laaziz is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 156 kg, with brown hair and eyes.
