He oversaw three series of the Netflix youth-skewing drama Heartstopper, which will end with a feature-length finale later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Other credits include The Essex Serpent for Apple TV and he has previously helped to develop series including Slow Horses for the streamer and The North Water for BBC2.<\/p>\n<p>Walters will join A24\u2019s London-based UK team, which is led by Piers Wenger and Rose Garnett, with the ambition of growing the group\u2019s global TV slate.<\/p>\n<p>He will be part of a senior creative team which also includes newly appointed Laura Lankester and Will Johnston.<\/p>\n<p class=\"picture\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Patrick Walters a24 2026\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1473687_patrickwaltersa242026_834616.jpeg\"  loading=\"eager\" class=\"lazyloaded\" width=\"4800\" height=\"6000\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t be more excited to be joining A24. It\u2019s such a privilege to make shows with heart and something to say, and to do so with a team that is fearless in its ambition feels like a dream come true,\u201d said Walters.<\/p>\n<p>The A24 UK team\u2019s upcoming slate includes Channel 4 drama Major Players and It Gets Worse as well as Michael Coel\u2019s First Day on Earth for the BBC\/HBO and The Husbands by Miriam Battye for Apple TV+.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Patrick Walters, the exec behind Netflix hit Heartstopper is heading to A24.
