While this may come as good news for the Chiefs, it is concerning for Kelce, who is in the middle of re-negotiating his contract terms.<\/p>\n

Charles Goldman, NFL managing editor, noted that there\u2019s a standout at the 2026 NFL Combine who \u201cmay already have an advantage as a potential successor.\u201d Goldman further expressed, \u201cSooner rather than later, Kansas City will have to plan for life after Kelce. Previously, Chiefs coach Andy Reid revealed that Kelce had casually discussed the matter with him but hadn\u2019t conveyed his final decision yet. Reid stated, \u201cNo, there is communication, though. That\u2019s the main thing. I\u2019ve said this before: As long as there\u2019s communication, I\u2019m good. That means people want to move forward. I think that\u2019s where Trav is.
