Casemiro has reportedly \u2018recommended\u2019 that INEOS sign Newcastle United\u2019s Bruno Guimaraes to replace him in the summer.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to journalist Eduardo Burgos, who adds that Manchester United plan to \u2018dig deep into their pockets\u2019 to find the perfect replacement for the Brazilian veteran, who will depart when his contract expires in June.<\/p>\n

It seems as though United have narrowed down their search to primarily within the Premier League, with Guimaraes joining the likes of<\/a> Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson and his club teammate Sandro Tonali on the shortlist.<\/p>\n

Each player\u2019s clubs will be desperate to keep hold of them come the summer, particularly given a sale would directly improve United\u2019s squad for the 2026\/2027 season.<\/p>\n

For Newcastle in particular, the prospect of losing their beloved, fan-favourite captain to a club like United will be unthinkable.<\/p>\n

However, contract talks with Guimaraes have hit a roadblock in recent weeks, despite the Magpies board doing their utmost to tie him down to a new deal.<\/p>\n

He remains tied to St. James\u2019 Park until 2028, but again, the idea of losing him for nothing is something that the club will be desperate to avoid.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old, who\u2019s shared the international stage with Casemiro on numerous occasions<\/a>, may start considering a future elsewhere if it looks as though Eddie Howe\u2019s side will miss out on the Champions League next term.<\/p>\n

They are on the back of a 3-2 home defeat to Everton, which marked their fourth successive home loss.<\/p>\n

As a result, the Tyneside outfit sit 13th-placed in the table and a whopping 15 points off the top four.<\/p>\n
