The Brewers took down the Braves on Wednesday, winning 5-4 in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

The game was the third win of a three-game series, giving the Brewers the series win and completing the series sweep.<\/p>\n

They’ve now swept teams in back-to-back series and have won 9 of their last 10 games.<\/p>\n

All of these stats show how great they’ve been, especially over the past couple of weeks, but nothing is more impressive than what a win on Wednesday enabled for Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

What feat did the Brewers reach on Wednesday?<\/p>\n

With a win over the Braves, the Brewers won their 70th game of the 2025 MLB season.<\/p>\n

The Brewers had the best record in baseball, and now they have become the first team to hit the 70-win benchmark this season.<\/p>\n

Their record of 70-44 puts them 4 games ahead of the Cubs for first place in the NL Central and ahead of the other two division leaders in the NL (Dodgers – 66-49, Phillies – 65-49).<\/p>\n

With a winning percentage this year of 61.1%, Milwaukee is on pace to win 99 games, which would set a franchise record for games won in a single season.<\/p>\n

Milwaukee is well on its way to a third consecutive postseason appearance. They haven’t made it out of the NL Wild Card round in the past two years, so they’ll hope to end that drought with a run in the upcoming postseason this fall.<\/p>\n

The Brewers’ next opponent is the Mets\u00a0in an upcoming three-game series.<\/p>\n

New York is 63-52 this season, but has lost eight of their last nine games.<\/p>\n
