Class of 2026<\/a> alumni cootie catcher released their latest album Something We All Got<\/a> last Friday (February 27), and now they’re kicking off their North American tour in Montreal \u2014 their gig at La Sotterenea will be one in a William!<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n Lou-Adriane Cassidy<\/a> Quebec singer-songwriter Lou-Adriane Cassidy released her ambitious concept album Journal d’un Loup-Garou<\/a> a little over a year ago, and it’s no coincidence that she’s bringing the werewolf to Montreal three days after the lunar eclipse (March 3)<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Fucked Up<\/a> Toronto punks Fucked Up are celebrating the end of their legendary zodiac album series<\/a> on tour this year, where they’ve promised to play a<\/a> “bunch of zodiac music that [they’ve] never played live before from the whole catalogue.”\u00a0<\/p>\n William Prince<\/a> Winnipeg’s William Prince was further from the country<\/a> on his latest album, but now he’s taking Canada by storm on his 17-date, nation-wide tour, where his trademark country crooning will swoon Montreal at a lone Quebec show.<\/p>\n Julianna Barwick<\/a> & Mary Lattimore<\/a> Dynamic duo Julianna Barwick<\/a> and Mary Lattimore<\/a> returned in January with the blaming, ambient Tragic Magic, a record that is best enjoyed in four locations: on a morning train ride, a languid stroll through the city, in the bath<\/a>, and at Montreal’s historic venue, Le Ges\u00f9.\u00a0<\/p>\n Motorists<\/a> Toronto power pop quartet Motorists are celebrating the release of their third record Never Sing Alone<\/a> (out March 6 via We Are Time<\/a>) with Canadian tour dates this March, where they’ll be in good company with Laughing<\/a>, Vanity Mirror<\/a> and Muncho at La Sotterenea.\u00a0<\/p>\n Matt Berninger<\/a> The National’s Matt Berninger has joined the latest wave of American and international artists<\/a> embarking on Canada-only tours, making a trek across the country in support of last year’s solo record Get Sunk<\/a>, where he’ll be joined by Vancouver’s Hannah Georgas<\/a> as support. “Hannah opened for the National for a lot of shows, and I’ve done songs with Hannah,” he told Exclaim! “I’m a fan, and I’ve gotten to be a friend over the past years.”\u00a0<\/p>\n Avenoir<\/a> JUNO-nominated R&B singer-songwriter Avenoir has been on the rise since his 2023 EP NOIRE \u2014 and now that he’s got a full album under his belt<\/a>, you won’t want to miss out on catching his upwards trajectory live as he wraps up the first leg of his Canadian tour in Montreal on the 21st.\u00a0<\/p>\n Magi Merlin<\/a> After supporting Yaya Bey on tour earlier this year, Montreal-based alternative neo-soul artist Magi Merlin is heading back out onto the road with a headlining venture of her own, where she’ll play a hometown show at Casa del Popolo towards the end of the month.<\/p>\n
