I wholeheartedly applaud Mayor Locke and her council\u2019s decision to set up two medical clinics in Surrey. The situation is dire \u2013 most of us don\u2019t have a family doctor, and it is often impossible to get to see a doctor in most of walk-in clinics unless you go there at 7 a.m., not to mention the hospital where the waits are often hours long. The estimated cost for the city is rather minimal compared to the horrendous cost Surrey taxpayers were forced to bear as a result of being imposed the police transition.<\/p>\n
As the Province is not doing much to effectively fix the broken health-care system, we need our municipal authorities to find creative and practical ways to remedy the situation.<\/p>\n
Thank you, Mayor Locke, for doing your best to resolve the problem of insufficient health-care accessibility in Surrey.<\/p>\n
