It\u2019s a tough week for the vegan community as another plant-based restaurant<\/a> in Calgary has shared that it has closed.<\/p>\n

Odd Burger, a Canadian chain known for its vegan takes on fast-food favourites, revealed that its only Calgary location at 1515c 14th St. SW, would be closing with its final day of service on Feb. 28.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter a lot of thought and reflection, we\u2019ve made the difficult decision to close our restaurant,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was not an easy decision. We\u2019ve poured our hearts into this space, and we are incredibly grateful for the support from our customers, staff, and community over the past year and a half.\u201d<\/p>\n

Odd Burger was known for its huge menu, offering everything from breakfast sandwiches to wraps and tacos.<\/p>\n

One of the most popular menu items is its Famous Burger, made up of wheat and soy protein smash patties, house-made famous sauce, dairy-free cheese, onions, lettuce, and pickles, all stacked up on a toasted sesame bun.<\/p>\n

While the restaurant is now closed to the public, Odd Burger products will still be available to buy at some Calgary grocery stores, and it still has locations in Edmonton, Vancouver and across Ontario.<\/p>\n

The Odd Burger Calgary team also teased that Calgarians may still see its food truck out and about in the city over the summer, so watch this space.<\/p>\n
