Galaxy devices got the February 2026 patch towards the end of the month, including (then) flagship phones like the Galaxy S25 series. Hopefully, this month’s update will reach devices sooner.

According to Samsung, 65 vulnerabilities are getting attention in the March 2026 security update (via SamMobile). It looks like the large majority of them are high severity, while only 8 seem to be labeled “critical.” Samsung also notes that only 5 are unique to Galaxy devices, with most vulnerabilities for all Android devices.

The new security patch isn’t bringing any software changes, as far as we can tell. It seems to be a standard security patch with no additional features.

Advertisement – scroll for more content

Samsung hasn’t noted when the security update will be available on Galaxy phones. This is a separate update from the upcoming One UI 8.5. Since the Galaxy S26 has been announced, devices from previous years will likely get a software upgrade in inverse release order.

When that happens will depend on when Samsung wants to conclude the One UI 8.5 beta. In its current form, the One UI 8.5 beta is on its sixth release for most regions. Generally, that’d be considered one of the last updates before Samsung rolls the software version over to its public build.

More on Galaxy devices:

FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links. More.

Galaxy devices will receive another One UI security update soon as Samsung makes the March 2026 security patch…

[16
49,48,190,61
0":"post-512419","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-mobile","8":"tag-ca","9":"tag-canada","10":"tag-mobile","11":"tag-technology
["GET
