DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. \u2014 Ben Read<\/a> tied for fourth place, the best finish of his App State Men’s Golf career, to lead the Mountaineers at the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate that concluded Tuesday.

\nRead posted an even-par total of 73-73-70\u2014216 over 54 holes on the LPGA International Hills Course, closing the event with five birdies and three bogeys in a 2-under final round.

\nApp State posted the third-best team score of 2 over in the final round and finished in a tie for 11th place at 40 over (309-305-290\u2014904).
\n\u00a0
\nAidan Browning<\/a> shot an even-par 72 in the final round, followed by 74s from Alex Martin<\/a> and Max Cranford<\/a>. Read finished one shot behind third place, and individual medalist Matthis Lefevre posted a 6-under total to help Stetson win the team title by 21 strokes at 13 under.

\nThe 2025-26 season is presented by Hound Ears Club. App State returns to action Monday as the host of the Surf Club Invitational in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
