During a youth soccer game, an altercation led to\u00a0police and paramedics attending the scene.<\/p>\n
Three people were transported to hospital after sustaining \u201cminor physical injuries,\u201d said Lincoln Louttit,\u00a0manager of corporate communications with the Sault Police Service.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While some residents used social media to describe\u00a0what they saw, neither the city or police shared specifics about the incident with SooToday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe matter is currently under review, and the city is fully cooperating with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in their investigation,\u201d said Nicole Maione, director of community services.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe city remains committed to ensuring that our recreational facilities are safe, welcoming environments for all users.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police say no charges have been laid at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
This incident occurred roughly a month after a hockey referee\u00a0in the Sault said a parent told him to kill himself <\/a>during a game.<\/p>\n
