Drop-off fees apply.<\/p>\n<p>Yard waste is picked up anytime between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on your yard waste collection day.\u00a0<a title=\"Collection calendar\" href=\"https:\/\/peelregion.ca\/waste\/waste-collection-schedules\/collection-calendar\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"2a831a7a-2f05-43eb-a253-cad50e91a92e\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Check your collection calendar<\/a>\u00a0and put your yard waste out by 7 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Collectors may open and check yard waste bags to ensure only acceptable items are picked up.<\/p>\n<p>Quarantines and restrictions<\/p>\n<p>The Asian Long-Horned Beetle (ALHB) is no longer a problem in Malton.<\/p>\n<p>All residents of Peel are still prohibited from moving or transporting ash trees and ash tree wood to stop the spread of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/emerald-ash-borer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)<\/a>, an insect that kills ash trees.<\/p>\n<p>Yard waste instructions for Malton<\/p>\n<p>If you live in Malton, keep putting your yard waste out on your yard waste collection day. Yard waste is accepted at any of our\u00a0<a title=\"Community Recycling Centres (CRCs)\" href=\"https:\/\/peelregion.ca\/waste\/crc\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"00aae99c-1748-438a-a16b-5d66bba5ec0b\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Community Recycling Centres<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Emerald Ash Borer \u2013 the spread<\/p>\n<p>Moving infested ash tree materials and firewood poses the greatest risk of spreading EAB to uninfected areas.<\/p>\n<p>If you go camping or to the cottage, don\u2019t bring your own firewood from home. Instead, buy firewood sold close to your campground or cottage. Be sure to burn it on only your campsite or cottage property.
