Senior Paula Schulz-Hanssen<\/a> rebounded from a tough opening round to lead Arizona State with a three-over par 74 on day two. The senior carded two birdies to bring her season total to 46.<\/p>\n Sophomore Isla McDonald-O’Brien<\/a> trailed right behind her, posting a four-over par (+4\/75) performance. The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Presented by Principal Financial and PXG will return after making its television debut on the GOLF Channel four years ago, when it became the first all-women\u2019s regular season collegiate golf tournament to be presented live on the network. Long Cove Club, in partnership with Darius Rucker and South Carolina, will again play host on Hilton Head Island for the 14th time. This is the ninth time Arizona State has appeared, competing in each of the past three editions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Sun Devils will be without 2025 second-team All-American Patience Rhodes<\/a>\u00a0until at least April due to a leg injury suffered over the holiday break. The junior from England has posted nine top-10 finishes and finished in the top 15 at the 2025 NCAA Championships and competed at the 2024 Curtis Cup and the 2025 Augusta National Women\u2019s Amateur. She has January rankings of No. 19 (NCAA Scoreboard) and No. 17 (WAGR).<\/p>\n
Sun Devil Women\u2019s Golf has added highly-anticipated incoming freshman\u00a0Pimpisa \u201cFai\u201d Rubrong<\/a>\u00a0to the current roster, a student-athlete with extensive international experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Arizona State will be tested throughout the\u00a02025-26 campaign<\/a>\u00a0as Coach Farr-Kaye again built one of the nation\u2019s toughest slates. The Maroon and Gold will compete in 10 regular-season events, five in the fall and five in the spring. Many premier amateur women\u2019s golfers have called Arizona State University home for the past five decades. Arizona State won its NCAA-leading eighth national championship in 2017 to reinforce its standing as the premier women\u2019s golf school in the United States.<\/p>\n
The Thunderbirds Golf Complex, designed by Douglas Fredrickson Architects and built by Rummel Construction Inc., is a 7,000-square-foot facility featuring a grand entry lobby, national championship displays, a team gym and locker rooms for both men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams, a fueling station, study lounge, team lounge, indoor hitting bays and more.<\/p>\n
Patience Rhodes<\/a>,\u00a0Isla McDonald-O\u2019Brien<\/a>,\u00a0Paula Schulz-Hanssen<\/a>, and\u00a0Beth Coulter<\/a>\u00a0all return having gained another year of valuable experience. Freshmen\u00a0Johanna Axelsen and\u00a0<\/a>Kate Dillon\u00a0<\/a>joined the program in the fall, forming a talented 2025-26 roster under the direction of Head Coach\u00a0Missy Farr-Kaye<\/a>\u00a0and Associate Head Coach\u00a0Ryan Heisey<\/a>.
