{"id":513625,"date":"2026-03-04T11:34:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T11:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/513625\/"},"modified":"2026-03-04T11:34:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T11:34:09","slug":"canada-nfi-group-opens-new-cad-facility-in-winnipeg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/513625\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada: NFI Group Opens New CAD Facility in Winnipeg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NFI Group has officially opened its new Customer Acceptance and Delivery (CAD) facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.<\/p>\n<p>A recent ribbon-cutting event marked the beginning of the latest phase of NFI\u2019s ongoing manufacturing expansion, which follows federal and provincial investment alongside its own internal funding.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6045239\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/ribbon-cutting-event-pr-3-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"A group of people celebrating a ribbon cutting\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The NFI Group held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new facility<\/p>\n<p>\u00a9 NFI Group<\/p>\n<p>Construction of the new facility, which first began in late 2024, will allow NFI to complete full domestic production of heavy-duty transit vehicles in Winnipeg for the first time in 15 years. The first buses entered production in September 2025, and were delivered to Durham Transit in December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The facility will expand NFI subsidiary New Flyer\u2019s production capacity by up to 240 equivalent units per annum by 2027, with four line entries expected per week.
