One man has been charged for his suspected involvement in two assaults in Surrey\u2019s City Centre area last month.<\/p>\n
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says police responded to reports of the attacks at a business on City Parkway near 102 Avenue on Feb. 14.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwo males allegedly assaulted a female at a business in the 10200 block of City Parkway. A witness intervened, and the two males then allegedly assaulted the witness with a weapon before leaving the area,\u201d police described.<\/p>\n
Paramedics reportedly treated the man who intervened for several injuries, including cuts and a bite wound.<\/p>\n
In an update Wednesday, the SPS said investigators had since identified and arrested one suspect.<\/p>\n
Last week, the BC Prosecution Service charged a 24-year-old man with one count each of assault, assault with a weapon, and failing to comply with a release order.<\/p>\n
