He\u2019s still currently 10th in the points standings after three rounds, and a contract extension with Spire Motorsports announced earlier this year is supposed to keep him with the team majority-owned by TWG Global into the 2030s. The 23-year-old from Michigan is still looking for his first win in the Cup Series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-marketing-and-sponsorship \">Now, Monster is negotiating with Hocevar to start endorsing the energy drink brand as soon as this season, according to four people familiar with the matter. Proposed financial terms couldn\u2019t be immediately learned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-marketing-and-sponsorship \">The deal would likely start on the driver side with Hocevar, meaning it could include patches on his helmet or the sleeve of his fire suit but wouldn\u2019t have a paint scheme or logo on Spire\u2019s No. 77 Chevrolet that Hocevar drives. But given that Monster sponsors multiple organizations in NASCAR, the Hocevar link could blossom into a team relationship with Spire in time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-marketing-and-sponsorship \">Monster is one of the biggest sponsors in racing globally and has had deals in recent years in NASCAR with Joe Gibbs Racing and 23XI Racing. It also remains the official energy drink of NASCAR, is aligned with McLaren Racing in F1 and is title sponsor of the Supercross dirt bike property.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-marketing-and-sponsorship \">Hocevar is represented for his contract and marketing endeavors by Motorsports Management International, and a deal with Monster would underscore that he is starting to catch the attention of major brands. His other PSAs are with Heat Wave Visual sunglasses, simulator rig maker Racing Cockpits, Pit Stop Diecast and Williamsburg Contracting. Team sponsors on the car he drives include Charter Communications\u2019 Spectrum telecommunications brand and Brinker International\u2019s Chili\u2019s Grill &amp; Bar brand.
