Friesen\u2019s wife, Jess, shared the news on social media, and she revealed her husband will start physical therapy soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to be reunited at home, as Stewart has been released from the hospital,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/StewartFriesen\/status\/1953206234741653860\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jess said.<\/a> \u201cIt has been a long 9 days for our family.\u201d Stewart continues to be in pain as he recovers, but we are very happy to have him at home to recoup before we start the physical therapy process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thankful to the team at Albany Medical Center, especially the trauma team, for their incredible work. The procedures to reconstruct his shattered pelvis and his right leg tibia and fibula went smoothly. He has some extra plates, screws, rods and pins as well as a fractured CT and fractured left hip, but we are thankful to finally (be) on the other side of these injuries and on the road to recovery!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kaden Honeycutt to replace Stewart Friesen for the rest of the Truck Series season<\/p>\n<p>Jess went on to say that they will \u201cprovide updates as Stweart continues his recovery.\u201d She also said they \u201clook forward to seeing you all back at the track.\u201d Stewart Friesen will not return to action this year as Halmar Friesen Racing announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/pro\/news\/kaden-honeycutt-to-replace-injured-stewart-friesen-for-remainder-of-truck-series-season\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kaden Honeycutt will substitute for him<\/a> in the No. 52 Toyota for the final eight races in the Truck Series. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile I continue to recover, it was important for us to put someone in our truck that can help us compete at the highest level,\u201d Friesen said in a team release. \u201cI know Kaden will deliver a strong performance in our truck and allow us to continue to run for the owner\u2019s championship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Friesen qualified for the NASCAR Truck Series playoffs after winning the Michigan race in June. He has been competing in the Truck Series full-time and has won four races in 200 starts.
