Carson Hocevar could land a deal with Monster Energy as soon as this year.<\/p>\n
Monster Energy could have its likeness on another NASCAR<\/a> Cup Series car in the near future. The energy drink brand is already a primary sponsor of Cup Series drivers Ty Gibbs and Riley Herbst.<\/p>\n Yet, Monster Energy might be adding one more driver to that list. In a story released by Sports Business Journal on Wednesday, the drink brand is seeking a potential partnership with one of NASCAR\u2019s rising stars.<\/p>\n Spire Motorsports driver could land Monster Energy sponsorship soon<\/p>\n Spire Motorsports driver Carson Hocevar could be looking at a potential deal with Monster Energy in the future. In an article by Adam Stern via Sports Business Journal<\/a>, Monster Energy is \u201cin talks\u201d with the 23-year-old driver about a future partnership.<\/p>\n The deal for Hocevar and Monster Energy could begin sometime this season \u201caccording to four people familiar with the matter,\u201d Stern wrote.<\/p>\n The motorsports insider added that the deal would start slow, but could eventually evolve into a larger partnership.<\/p>\n \u201cThe deal would likely start on the driver side with Hocevar, meaning it could include patches on his helmet or the sleeve of his fire suit but wouldn\u2019t have a paint scheme or logo on Spire\u2019s No. 77 Chevrolet that Hocevar drives,\u201d Stern wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n Monster Energy, the official energy drink of NASCAR, has had various connections with the sport throughout the years. The drink brand formerly sponsored Kurt and Kyle Busch in the O\u2019Reilly Auto Parts Series<\/a>, a partnership that spanned from 2012-2015.<\/p>\n In 2017, the drink brand became the title sponsor of the Cup Series as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. The deal lasted until 2019 before the sport transitioned to no title sponsor, the NASCAR Cup Series, in 2020.<\/p>\n Today, Monster Energy is one of the primary sponsors for Joe Gibbs Racing driver Ty Gibbs and 23XI Racing driver Riley Herbst.<\/p>\n Hocevar is amid his third full-time season in the NASCAR Cup Series. The driver of the No. 77 has accumulated 16 top-10 finishes and four top fives in 84 career starts.<\/p>\n After three races in 2026, Hocevar currently sits 10th in the Cup Series points standings. He has a best finish of fourth at EchoPark Speedway and narrowly missed out won the Daytona 500, but spun out while leading on the final lap.<\/p>\n Carson Hocevar recently signed a long-term deal with Spire Motorsports<\/p>\n Prior to talks of a partnership with Monster Energy, Hocevar sealed a deal on his future in NASCAR. Last month, it was announced that the Michigan native signed a long-term deal with Spire Motorsports to keep him in the No. 77 machine into the next decade<\/a>.<\/p>\n In the wake of the announcement on February 5, 2026, Hocevar expressed his enthusiasm in continuing his NASCAR Cup Series career with Spire Motorsports in a team statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone in the building, has really become a family to me. Spire is such a different team now compared to how it was my rookie season, and especially when I made my debut in 2023.
