Harry Styles<\/a> thinks that performing a residency in one location leads to a \u201cbetter show\u201d than touring in multiple cities.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Styles shed light on the impetus for his upcoming \u201cTogether, Together\u201d<\/a> residency tour and why he prefers having fans travel to see him play at a single venue over multiple dates.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I think a lot of the thinking behind it for me is about, I think it makes the show better,\u201d Styles said. \u201cI think you can build something that doesn\u2019t have to travel every night. I think the show itself is better. I think there\u2019s something in this that allows me to like stay in my life while I\u2019m doing it. And therefore I think it allows me to take care of myself better, which I think makes me better at doing the thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before you panic, Styles isn\u2019t saying he won\u2019t tour again. \u201cIt\u2019s not like I\u2019m saying I\u2019ll never travel again, but I want to see what it looks like if you do it a different way,\u201d the singer explained. \u201cAnd people in my band have families now and kids, and some aspects of that too. It\u2019s really important to me that they\u2019re on the road, that I would love to have them. I don\u2019t want to make it like near impossible for them to be able to come do that with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

In January, Styles announced \u201cTogether, Together\u201d \u2014 a seven-city residency tour that spans 60 performances. Kicking off in May in Amsterdam at Johan Cruijff ArenA, Styles will also go to London\u2019s Wembley Stadium in June, Estadio MorumBIS in S\u00e3o Paulo in July, and Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City in August.<\/p>\n

After that, Styles will perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City for a massive 30-night run throughout most of the fall. He\u2019ll close the trek with shows in Melbourne and Sydney in November and December. On each residency stop, Styles will be joined by a different special guest, including Shania Twain, Jamie xx, Jorja Smith, and Fcukers. Look for tickets here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
