U.S.-based\u00a0EPR Properties\u00a0announced Thursday it has reached an agreement to acquire the park from\u00a0Six Flags Entertainment Corporation\u00a0as part of a larger $342-million deal involving seven amusement parks across North America.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, the Montreal park will be managed by\u00a0La Ronde Operations Inc., owned by Kieran Burke. His companies already operate several well-known attractions, including\u00a0Village Vacances Valcartier\u00a0near Quebec City and water parks such as\u00a0Calypso Waterpark\u00a0and\u00a0Wet\u2019n\u2019Wild Toronto\u00a0in Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>La Ronde is the\u00a0only Canadian park included in the transaction, which also covers six U.S. amusement and water parks. Altogether, the properties span more than 1,600 acres, feature over 400 attractions and draw about 4.5 million visitors a year.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say visitors shouldn\u2019t expect major changes right away.
