As Metro Vancouver prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Surrey plans to host three FREE Fan Zones for residents and visitors to gather to watch the matches.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing like watching a game with a likeminded crowd of fans, and these fan zones are going to be that and more!<\/p>\n

Surrey Soccer Fan Zones<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re proud to offer Surrey Soccer Fan Zones \u2013 free, safe, and welcoming spaces where families can come together to enjoy FIFA World Cup 26,\u201d said Mayor Brenda Locke. \u201cBy providing these accessible, no-cost events, we\u2019re helping families enjoy the games, cheer on their favourite teams, and make summer memories together.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Fan Zones will be open from June 11 to July 19 during the tournament. Fans can find them at Surrey Civic Plaza, the Cloverdale Agriplex, and South Surrey Athletic Park. Additionally, there is a chance that further locations will be announced in the time leading up to the start of the World Cup.<\/p>\n

At the zones, fans can expect a wide array of shaded seating areas for the viewing party. Moreover, every location will be fitted with live match broadcasts on large screens, as well as live entertainment, and community-led soccer activities. If you get hungry, you also can find food trucks and beer gardens to quench your thirst.<\/p>\n

Celebrating The World Cup<\/p>\n

The Surrey Soccer Fan Zones will officially launch on June 12 at Surrey Civic Plaza. This is the day that Canada\u2019s men\u2019s national soccer team takes the field, giving all fans the opportunity to cheer on the team with their community by their side.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Fan Zones will celebrate Surrey\u2019s cultural diversity and strengthen community connection through sport, while showcasing City Centre, Cloverdale and South Surrey as vibrant entertainment districts,\u201d the press release wrote. \u201cBy hosting the Fan Zones in Surrey\u2019s major town centres, the City is supporting local businesses and highlighting Surrey as a premier entertainment and tourist destination.\u201d<\/p>\n
