British Columbia’s police watchdog has cleared a Surrey RCMP officer in the shooting death of a man who threw a machete at police after killing his spouse.<\/p>\n

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) said at the time that the woman and man were a couple in their 60s who lived together, and it was investigating the woman’s death. <\/p>\n
