{"id":517343,"date":"2026-03-06T03:59:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T03:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/517343\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T03:59:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T03:59:13","slug":"third-suspect-of-jahkai-jack-murder-arrested-in-calgary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/517343\/","title":{"rendered":"Third suspect of Jahkai Jack murder arrested in Calgary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto police say a man wanted in connection with the murder of <a href=\"https:\/\/toronto.citynews.ca\/2025\/07\/09\/toronto-homicide-boy-15-killed-mount-dennis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">15-year-old Jahkai Jack<\/a> has been arrested in Calgary.<\/p>\n<p>In a media release Thursday evening, officers say 20-year-old Abdul Yeberebaba was apprehended by Calgary Police on Feb. 27.<\/p>\n<p>Yeberebaba has been returned to Toronto and is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting and death of Jack in June 2025. He is the third suspect in the homicide investigation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/toronto.citynews.ca\/2025\/06\/07\/man-critically-injured-in-mount-dennis-shooting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Jack was shot and killed<\/a>\u00a0in the Emmett Avenue and Jane Street area, near Weston Road. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. HANDOUT\/Toronto Police Service.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, investigators provided an updated saying Rajveer Gill,\u00a021, and Jayden Samuel-James, 19, both of Toronto, have been arrested and are facing charges of accessory after the fact to murder.
