Shortly after the tragic news was revealed, Katherine\u2018s death certificate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/03\/03\/martin-shorts-daughter-katherines-cause-of-death-confirmed\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">confirmed that she had died by suicide.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Martin\u2018s rep<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/02\/24\/martin-shorts-rep-confirms-death-of-daughter-katherine-42-read-the-statement\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> released a statement <\/a>after his daughter\u2019s tragic death.<\/p>\n<p>Katherine was adopted by Martin and his late wife Nancy, who died in 2010.
