CALGARY \u2014 Dylan Cozens<\/a>\u2019 power-play goal 6:33 into the third period was the game-winner as the Ottawa Senators<\/a> defeated the Calgary Flames<\/a> 4-1 on Thursday night. <\/p>\n

Lars Eller<\/a>, Tim Stutzle and Shane Pinto<\/a> also scored for Ottawa (30-22-9). The last two goals were scored into an empty net. <\/p>\n

The Senators, who are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games, moved within four points of the Boston Bruins<\/a> for the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.<\/p>\n

Martin Pospisil<\/a>, with his first goal of the season, scored for Calgary (24-30-7).<\/p>\n

Linus Ullmark<\/a> made 19 stops to improve to 8-0-3 in his last 11 decisions. His last regulation loss was against the New Jersey Devils<\/a> on Dec. 9. <\/p>\n

Devin Cooley<\/a> made 35 saves for the Flames.<\/p>\n

Ottawa has been strong of late with the man advantage, entering the game 5-for-12 over its previous five games. The Senators finished 1-for-4 against Calgary.<\/p>\n

Down 2-1, the Flames got a power play of their own with just over three minutes to go in the third period. But Stutzle intercepted a Yegor Sharangovich<\/a> pass and scored into the empty net to put the game on ice.<\/p>\n
