{"id":517912,"date":"2026-03-06T10:04:48","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T10:04:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/517912\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T10:04:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T10:04:48","slug":"stolen-vehicle-chase-ends-in-multi-car-crash-on-deerfoot-trail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/517912\/","title":{"rendered":"Stolen vehicle chase ends in multi\u2011car crash on Deerfoot Trail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A police pursuit of a stolen vehicle brought Deerfoot Trail to a crawl Thursday afternoon after the fleeing driver triggered a multi\u2011vehicle crash.<\/p>\n<p>Calgary police say the incident began around 3:30 p.m., when officers responded to reports of a stolen vehicle that refused to stop. <\/p>\n<p>The suspect vehicle headed onto southbound Deerfoot Trail, where it collided with multiple other vehicles near the 8 Avenue NE overpass.<\/p>\n<p>Both the driver and passenger of the stolen vehicle tried to run from the scene but were arrested by officers.<\/p>\n<p>One person suffered minor injuries in the crash.
