{"id":518642,"date":"2026-03-06T18:12:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T18:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/518642\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T18:12:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T18:12:07","slug":"dillon-brooks-arrested-on-suspicion-of-dui-in-arizona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/518642\/","title":{"rendered":"Dillon Brooks arrested on suspicion of DUI in Arizona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">NBA player Dillon Brooks, who is from Mississauga, Ont., was arrested early Friday morning in Arizona on \u201csuspicion of driving under the influence,\u201d police say. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In an email to CP24, the Scottsdale Police Department says officers conducted a traffic stop at around 1 a.m. near Scottsdale Road, just south of Thunderbird Road in Scottsdale after observing traffic violations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say the driver was identified as 30-year-old Dillon Brooks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">After an investigation, Brooks was arrested at approximately 1:33 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He was transported to the Scottsdale City Jail and released after the booking process was completed at around 3:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say any charges will ultimately be determined by the city prosecutor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">CP24 has reached out for comment from the agency representing Brooks but have not heard back at this time. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Brooks is a member of the Phoenix Suns and is in his 9th NBA season.
