{"id":518840,"date":"2026-03-06T20:17:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T20:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/518840\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T20:17:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T20:17:14","slug":"firefighters-to-get-more-health-and-safety-support-funding-in-brampton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/518840\/","title":{"rendered":"Firefighters to get more health and safety support funding in Brampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The province will announce new health and safety initiatives for Brampton firefighters next week.<\/p>\n<p>Brampton Fire and Emergency Services will be joined by provincial and local politicians on Monday to announce funding for firefighters.<\/p>\n<p>No specific details have been shared about the funding announcement, other than it will support \u201cfirefighter health and safety initiatives in Brampton.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Ontario doubled the provincial Fire Protection Grant funding from $10 million to $20 million in 2025, and this year has handed out increased funds to departments, including over $300,000 for fire services across Northwestern Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement on Monday will take place at the Brampton Fire Station 205 at 12 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>BFES is opening the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/new-fully-electric-fire-station-coming-to-brampton-in-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new fully-electrified Station 215 later this year<\/a>, which will be equipped with two electric fire trucks and a hose tower.
