Nazem Kadri is on the move again.<\/p>\n
The Calgary Flames have dealt the veteran centre to the Colorado Avalanche, Sportsnet\u2019s Elliotte Friedman reported on Friday.<\/p>\n
The return for the Flames includes a 2028 first-round pick, Sportsnet\u2019s Nick Kypreos reported.<\/p>\n
Calgary will also retain 20 per cent of Kadri\u2019s salary, per Kypreos.<\/p>\n
Kadri won a Stanley Cup with the Avalanche in 2022.<\/p>\n
The 35-year-old has 12 goals and 29 assists in 61 games for the Flames this season. He\u2019s got 1,046 career games under his belt, with 319 goals and 751 points.<\/p>\n
Kadri is under contract through the 2028-29 season with a cap hit of $7 million.<\/p>\n
The London Knights product was an NHL all-star in 2022 and \u201823.<\/p>\n
The Leafs selected Kadri seventh overall in the 2009 draft. Toronto traded Kadri to the Avs in the summer of 2019 and played there for three seasons before signing with the Flames in free agency in 2022.<\/p>\n
