Lamorne Morris<\/a> is shooting his shot with a former co-star!<\/p>\n

During the new episode of New Girl<\/a> rewatch podcast The Mess Around with Hannah and Lamorne<\/a>, the 42-year-old Emmy-winning actor told co-host Hannah Simone<\/a> that he was spontaneously going to call up friend and former co-star Nasim Pedrad<\/a> and ask her out on a date.<\/p>\n

Hannah, 45, was incredibly supportive of this new development, noting, \u201cEverybody\u2019s been wanting this. Everybody\u2019s been shipping this for a long time.\u201d <\/p>\n

Lamorne then called Nasim, 44, and held his phone up to the microphone as they talked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just like, \u2018You know what, I\u2019m just going to date Nasim in real life.\u2019 So \u2026 what\u2019s up?\u201d he said as Nasim giggled on the other end of the phone.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got a man? You dating somebody?\u201d Lamorne added. \u201cI just saw you the other day, you seemed single.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you asking me out on a date?\u201d Nasim responded, still seeming a bit confused by the whole thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot a date, just more like, let\u2019s just be boyfriend-girlfriend,\u201d Lamorne doubled down.<\/p>\n

From the side, Hannah continued encouraging Lamorne, but reminded him to take things slow and ask her on a date first.<\/p>\n

Lamorne then pointed out that over the years, and and Nasim had gone on \u201cmany a date as friends,\u201d even though she considered those \u201cdates\u201d as more of \u201cfriendship-hands.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo yeah, I\u2019m going to ask you on a date,\u201d Lamorne concluded. \u201cI don\u2019t know when \u2014 I\u2019m busy, so I ain\u2019t got the time. But I will make the time!\u201d<\/p>\n

To everyone\u2019s surprise, Nasim agreed, saying, \u201cI\u2019m down! Let\u2019s go on a date!\u201d<\/p>\n

Lamorne then promised to bring a rose and said he would wear his \u201cspicy cologne\u201d for the date.<\/p>\n

If you forgot, Nasim joined New Girl for season four when her character Aly was introduced as Winston\u2019s (Lamorne) police partner. By the end of the series, their characters were engaged and welcomed a child together.<\/p>\n
