{"id":520852,"date":"2026-03-07T17:44:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T17:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/520852\/"},"modified":"2026-03-07T17:44:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T17:44:07","slug":"bayern-munich-goalkeeper-manuel-neuer-out-with-another-calf-injury-on-comeback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/520852\/","title":{"rendered":"Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer out with another calf injury on comeback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MUNICH (AP) \u2014 Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer suffered another injury setback that will rule him out of Tuesday\u2019s Champions League game against Atalanta.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Bayern said Saturday that Neuer has a minor muscle tear in his left calf from the team\u2019s 4-1 win over Borussia M\u00f6nchengladbach on Friday and that he will be out \u201cfor the time being.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">It\u2019s the second time Neuer tore a left calf muscle in as many months as he had the same injury during Bayern\u2019s 3-0 win over Werder Bremen last month. That kept him out for three weeks until his comeback on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Neuer will be 40 later this month and his contract with Bayern is up at the end of the season.
