In 2026, I find it hard that I’m still carrying a set of keys everywhere I go, especially in an age of fingerprint-enabled smart locks<\/a> and electric cars<\/a> that unlock via my phone. Despite that, the need for physical keys persists.<\/p>\n

While most key finders require me to dangle them from a keychain, I recently ditched mine for the MagBak KeyTag<\/a> \u2014 a sleek-looking holder that doesn\u2019t just look good, it also discreetly hides my AirTag 2<\/a>. Best of all, there\u2019s a $10 discount right now that brings the cost down to $39.<\/p>\n

To start, this is the best-designed key holder I\u2019ve come across. Unlike the KeySmart iPro<\/a> I previously tested, MagBak\u2019s version features a modern design that borrows from the iPhone\u2019s aesthetic. Not only does it match the Cosmic Orange of my iPhone 17 Pro<\/a>, but it feels incredibly solid thanks to its unibody, aircraft-grade aluminum frame.<\/p>\n

It does an excellent job of tucking away my keys, which looks far better than the tangled mess of my previous keychain. There\u2019s a small lip on one side that doesn\u2019t just allow me to swivel out my keys \u2014 it also doubles as a handy bottle opener. If you know me, you know how much I crave utility, so having this on me means I never have to wait long to crack open a beer.<\/p>\n

Inside the MagBak KeyTag, there\u2019s a small cutout specifically made for an AirTag. This means you\u2019ll need to provide your own if you want to track your keys should you lose or misplace them. Without one, it’s essentially a slick looking key holder and nothing more.<\/p>\n

While I\u2019d prefer integrated Find My functionality like the KeySmart iPro offers, I think this setup works better because adding a dedicated battery and extra components would only make it bulkier. Plus, the AirTag 2\u2019s excellent battery life means I won\u2019t have to worry about it dying anytime soon.<\/p>\n

It really is the best-looking key holder I\u2019ve used to date, perfectly emphasizing the company\u2019s philosophy of pairing minimalist design with exceptional functionality.<\/p>\n
