A Brampton man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to firearm incidents that occurred four years ago in Thunder Bay.<\/p>\n

Andrew Anthony Plummer, 38, appeared in court through video this week and entered a guilty plea for several charges.<\/p>\n

He pleaded guilty to attempted murder of an OPP officer during a shootout, aggravated assault for shooting his brother, drug possession, and other charges related to his flight from police.<\/p>\n

It was on March 8, 2022, that it was first reported that a man had been shot at a home in the city located in northwest Ontario.<\/p>\n

Police had information on the suspect and believed he planned to flee the area.<\/p>\n

Later, Plummer was located, and when they tried to stop his vehicle, he opened fire on the officers.<\/p>\n

He then took off in the vehicle but crashed into a ditch.<\/p>\n

Plummer then tried to run on foot but was arrested a short time later.<\/p>\n

Despite the exchange of bullets, no one was injured in the shootout.<\/p>\n
