One of the most frequent stereotypes about Jokic is that he doesn’t care too much for basketball when he’s not on the court himself.<\/p>\n
Whilst that is far from the truth, it must be acknowledged that there are some things about basketball that Jokic finds unnecessary.<\/p>\n
For example, the spotlight of the NBA Draft.<\/p>\n
In a rare one-on-one interview which he did for the X and O’s Chat<\/a> and which is supposed to be published later today, a part of it was released with Jokic talking about the moment when he was Drafted:<\/p>\n “The Draft itself, the moment that I was drafted, my brother was living in New York, he called me on the phone, celebrating, and I was sleeping, man,” he started.<\/p>\n “I’m like, who’s even thinking about that? A 17-year-old me, just thinking how I will wrestle with these guys.”<\/p>\n The Serbian big man was also asked to clarify whether he watched the NBA as a kid:<\/p>\n “I mean, I wasn’t watching actively, but I looked at highlights, best moments\u2014there was that NBA Action show, thank God, we were all watching that,” Jokic concluded.<\/p>\n
