It’s safe to say Hannah Waddingham is one of the nation’s favourite home-grown talents, and we’re big fans of her work (from Ted Lasso to Eurovision), style choices (especially this long sleeve midi dress<\/a>) and beauty tricks (including her thicker bob hack<\/a>). Now, we’ve also learned about how she keeps herself feeling fit and strong into her 50s – and it turns out her routine includes an unexpected activity. <\/p>\n

In a video interview with IMdB, Hannah revealed that not only does she enjoy a particular sport, but she’s also pretty good at it. “I’m a demon at boogie boarding,” she said. The activity is a water-based sport and can be more fun way to get an all-body workout in. [Watch the full video further down].<\/p>\n

But this isn’t Hannah’s only form of exercising, as she has admitted to trying a combination of other workouts and activities. And her tip for women looking to tone up? “Your own weight is great for the female form,” Hannah told Glamour in 2023. She also explained that, having been a dancer since a young age, she enjoys adjacent exercises including pilates and band work. While Hannah had usually aimed to get into the gym two of three times a week, she was forced to take an 18 month break, and opened up about the impact that had on her.<\/p>\n

“I haven’t done anything at all, not a minute of any fitness, for the last year and a half,” she said to Glamour two years ago. “I had a problem with my back, which is now thankfully resolved, but instead of tiptoeing around it and embracing it and strengthening it, it affected my mental health.” <\/p>\n

In another interview later the same year, this time with The Guardian, Hannah revealed she also enjoys being active out and about with her daughter. Discussing her ideal Sunday, Hannah said, ‘We\u2019ll get our wellies on and go for a walk and climb over logs. We may go to Windsor to see a dear friend and her donkeys.” <\/p>\n

She admitted to prioritising socialising, and what her favourite activity to centre it around is: “we\u2019re always out and about meeting people, usually around a meal: I\u2019m a big foodie.” Her dessert of choice? Eaton mess, as she reveals in the above video.<\/p>\n
