Free condo for winning cornhole toss in Surrey contest, with a catch<\/p>\n

Developers of a housing project are advertising a contest where the winner of a cornhole game can move into a free condominium in Newton.<\/p>\n
The first 200 buyers at Dawson + Sawyer\u2019s Queens development are eligible to win the \u201cCornhole for a Condo\u201d tournament.<\/p>\n
To enter the game, contestants must pay a deposit and be pre-approved to buy a condo, now under construction at the King George Boulevard project site, at 78 Avenue.<\/p>\n
The cornhole tournament will be held during a special party Saturday, Oct. 24. The winner will have pre-sale contract deposit refunded and purchase price reduced to $1, the contest website <\/a>says<\/a>. The prize value ranges from $400,000 to $850,000.<\/p>\n \u201cAll participants will attend the event and receive one throw to compete for the prize,\u201d the website says. \u201cThe contest follows a single-elimination format, meaning a missed throw results in elimination. With each round, the throw line will move back by one-foot increments. The last person remaining wins a free condo.\u201d<\/p>\n Among contest rules, only the person listed on the original contract may participate \u2014 no stand-ins or substitutions allowed.<\/p>\n The Queens development includes nearly 3,500 homes in 21 six-storey woodframe buildings with a mix of condos and townhomes. Dawson + Sawyer has more than 55 years of experience constructing such homes in Surrey and the Fraser Valley.<\/p>\n
