{"id":523144,"date":"2026-03-08T19:59:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-08T19:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/523144\/"},"modified":"2026-03-08T19:59:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T19:59:07","slug":"tyson-fury-warned-hell-face-a-lot-of-problems-in-comeback-against-makhmudov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/523144\/","title":{"rendered":"Tyson Fury warned he&#8217;ll face &#8216;a lot of problems&#8217; in comeback against Makhmudov"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/tyson-fury\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyson Fury<\/a> has been told by a fellow heavyweight contender that he could encounter a tougher-than-expected night\u2019s work against Arslanbek Makhmudov.<\/p>\n<p>The pair will square off at London\u2019s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 11, with Fury entering his first outing since suffering back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Their first encounter saw Fury get off to a strong start, only to find himself on the brink of a ninth-round stoppage before ultimately losing a split decision.<\/p>\n<p>A more consistent display from \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 then made for a far less dramatic rematch, resulting in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/boxing\/story\/_\/id\/43099054\/oleksandr-usyk-unanimously-defeats-tyson-fury-rematch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Usyk claiming a clear unanimous decision victory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After that, it came as a mini surprise when Fury announced his retirement the following month, only to declare at the beginning of this year that he will return to a professional ring.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the 37-year-old is now gearing up to face Makhmudov, whose only two defeats came via stoppages against Agit Kabayel and Guido Vianello.<\/p>\n<p>The 36-year-old heavyweight is, however, coming off a <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/arslanbek-makhmudov-decisions-dave-allen-on-sheffield-soil\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dominant display against Dave Allen<\/a>, who he comfortably outpointed by unanimous decision last October.<\/p>\n<p>It is Makhmudov\u2019s 6ft 6in frame, though, that has inspired American heavyweight star Jarrell Miller to assess the Russian\u2019s chances against Fury in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newbettingoffers.co.uk\/jarrell-miller-exclusive-dana-whites-g-unit-playbook-zuffa-low-ball-offers-and-the-truth-about-his-new-hair-glue-line\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NewBettingOffers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody who\u2019s a little taller for Tyson gives him a little problem, if you watch history. The thing is, will Makhmudov\u2019s chin hold up, and will he be a little aggressive?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Makhmudov can be aggressive, use a little head movement, and come forward, I think he can give Tyson a lot of problems. I think Tyson still pulls through, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s an easy fight like everybody thinks it is.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe guy can crack and he does have some meanness in him.
