{"id":523221,"date":"2026-03-08T20:59:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-08T20:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/523221\/"},"modified":"2026-03-08T20:59:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T20:59:07","slug":"toronto-man-wanted-for-assault-forcible-confinement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/523221\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto man wanted for assault, forcible confinement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto police are looking for a vehicle connected to a suspicious incident involving an injured woman who was seen screaming. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police are searching for a 47-year-old man after an injured woman was seen screaming inside a vehicle in the city\u2019s west end on Friday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police were initially called to the area of Pelham and Laughton Avenues, south of Davenport Road, on Friday morning for a suspicious incident. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cA man was seen driving a vehicle with a woman in the passenger seat screaming,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65367\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65367\/\">police said<\/a>, adding that she had injuries. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When officers arrived, the vehicle had fled. Police then asked the public for help locating the vehicle involved, which was a red 2010 Mazda CX-7 with a missing rear-view mirror and Ontario licence plate DJPN 971. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In an update on Sunday, police said they had identified the driver as Jimmy Minani of Toronto.
