{"id":523538,"date":"2026-03-09T00:58:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T00:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/523538\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T00:58:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T00:58:14","slug":"southern-manitoba-under-freezing-rain-warning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/523538\/","title":{"rendered":"Southern Manitoba under freezing rain warning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manitobans are being encouraged to use caution when travelling as a strong weather system brings freezing rain to a large section of southern Manitoba.<\/p>\n<p>Environment Canada issued a yellow freezing rain warning shortly after 5:30 p.m., saying freezing rain is expected across the region.<\/p>\n<p>The warning covers areas from Portage la Prairie to Beausejour, including the city of Winnipeg<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Weather\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"034951e4-325c-435f-a65e-7b59b35a5671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot_20260308_174951.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Patchy freezing rain is expected throughout the evening over the Red River Valley.
