An unprecedented kosher fine dining event will take place next week at one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the United States. For three nights only, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Dan Barber\u2019s two Michelin star restaurant in Westchester, will operate as a fully kosher restaurant as part of a special 3-night, fundraising dinner series, benefiting the nonprofit organization, Our Place<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The restaurant, located on the historic grounds of Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in Tarrytown, New York (formerly the Rockefeller estate), is widely recognized for its farm-driven tasting menus and has earned two Michelin stars, placing it among the highest rated restaurants in the country. During this limited engagement, the restaurant will operate under kosher supervision provided by the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc).<\/p>\n

The events are scheduled for March 17, March 18, and March 19, with approximately 50 guests per evening.<\/p>\n

The dinners will be curated by Dan Barber, the chef and co-owner of Blue Hill and a prominent figure in the modern farm-to-table movement. Barber\u2019s menus typically highlight seasonal ingredients sourced directly from the surrounding farmland and partner farms, and will also feature a wide array of meats and poultry, including venison, baby goat and goose alongside many Blue Hill classics.<\/p>\n

For this special program, the restaurant\u2019s culinary team will adapt the tasting experience to operate under uncompromising kosher standards while maintaining the restaurant\u2019s signature approach to ingredient-driven cuisine.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Wine pairings served with each course
\u2022 Open bar throughout the evening
\u2022 Live music during the dinner<\/p>\n

The experience will reflect the restaurant\u2019s typical tasting format, which is known for highlighting ingredients grown directly on the property or sourced from regional farms.<\/p>\n

A Rare Moment for Michelin-Level Kosher Dining<\/p>\n

Blue Hill at Stone Barns is widely considered one of the most influential restaurants in the American dining scene and currently holds two Michelin stars. While kosher fine dining pop-ups occasionally occur at restaurants or hotels, this is the only multi-star Michelin-recognized restaurant in world history to operate entirely kosher, even temporarily.<\/p>\n

The price for the experience is $1,800 per person, which includes the tasting menu, beverage pairings, open bar, and the evening\u2019s programming.<\/p>\n

For context, the restaurant\u2019s standard tasting experience typically costs close to $1,000 per person (with wine pairings) when operating in its usual non-kosher format.<\/p>\n

Fundraiser for Our Place<\/p>\n

The dinners are being organized as a benefit for Our Place, a New York-based nonprofit that operates drop-in centers and recovery programs for at-risk Jewish teens and young adults.<\/p>\n

The organization runs multiple programs designed to support at-risk teens and young adults, including young adult recovery clubhouses and teen drop-in centers.
