U.S. President Donald Trump<\/a> is doubling down on his claims that late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> and Jimmy Fallon<\/a> are \u201cnext\u201d to lose their shows following the cancellation of\u00a0The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During a press conference at the White House on Wednesday, Real America\u2019s Voice reporter Brian Glenn asked Trump about reports that radio host Howard Stern may part ways with Sirius XM after his contract expires in the fall.<\/p>\n

Glenn went on to ask if the \u201chate Trump\u201d comedy was losing popularity with American audiences.<\/p>\n

In his response, Trump used the example of the recent cancellation of\u00a0The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/a> and added that he believes Kimmel and Fallon are next.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, it hasn\u2019t worked,\u201d Trump replied. \u201cAnd it hasn\u2019t worked, really, for a long time, and I would say pretty much from the beginning. Colbert has no talent. I mean, I could take anybody here. I could go outside in the beautiful streets and pick a couple of people that do just as well or better. They\u2019d get higher ratings than he did. He\u2019s got no talent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They\u2019re next. They\u2019re going to be going. I hear they\u2019re going to be going. I don\u2019t know, but I would imagine because they\u2019d get\u2014you know, Colbert has better ratings than Kimmel or Fallon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump made a similar statement on Truth Social<\/a> after Colbert\u2019s show was cancelled last month<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He criticized Kimmel and claimed he has \u201cabsolutely NO TALENT\u201d while warning that his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, is next on the chopping block.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe word is, and it\u2019s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes, and shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone,\u201d Trump wrote on Truth Social on July 22.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. It\u2019s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel responded by sharing a screenshot of Trump\u2019s post on Instagram with the caption: \u201cI\u2019m hearing you\u2019re next. Or maybe it\u2019s just another wonderful secret\u201d \u2014 a reference to a Wall Street Journal report<\/a>, published July 17, that claimed Trump had written the phrase to\u00a0Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>\u00a0in a letter for his 50th birthday in 2003.<\/p>\n

Trump went on to make another claim about the late-night hosts and the cancellation of Colbert\u2019s show last week.<\/p>\n

In a post on Truth Social on July 29<\/a>, Trump said \u201ceverybody\u201d thinks he was \u201csolely responsible\u201d for the end of the late-night talk show but that the rumours are \u201cnot true!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, \u2018Late Night,’\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cThat is not true! The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses \u2014 And it was only going to get WORSE!\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump went on to claim that \u201can even less talented Jimmy Kimmel\u201d will be \u201cnext up\u201d to lose his job, followed by \u201ca weak, and very insecure, Jimmy Fallon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only real question is, who will go first? Show Biz and Television is a very simple business. If you get Ratings, you can say or do anything. If you don\u2019t, you always become a victim,\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cColbert became a victim to himself, the other two will follow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel responded to Trump\u2019s post by sharing a screenshot of it on Instagram and writing, \u201cI know you\u2019re busy Sharpie-ing the Epstein files, but this seems like a weird way to tell people to watch Matt Damon and Ken Jennings on an all-new Who Wants to Be a Millionaire tomorrow night at 8|7c on @ABC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colbert hasn\u2019t responded to Trump\u2019s latest claim that he wasn\u2019t \u201csolely responsible\u201d for the end of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert\u00a0but he did share some\u00a0choice words for Trump<\/a> during an opening monologue on the show last month.<\/p>\n

The late-night host read Trump\u2019s post celebrating\u00a0the decision to cancel the show<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0Truth Social on July 18<\/a>, in which he wrote, \u201cI absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colbert said into the \u201cEloquence Cam\u201d: \u201cHow dare you, sir? Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism? Go f\u2014 yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n
