LIV Golf will return to Korea in May, adding a 14th stop and 10th country to the tour\u2019s increasingly international schedule.<\/p>\n

The league announced on Monday that it had signed a multi-year deal with Asiad Country Club in Busan, and Martin Kim, general manager of LIV team Korean Golf Club (KGC), said he had been \u201cwaiting for this for the last six months\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tasked with reinvigorating a franchise that struggled on and off the course during its previous existence as Iron Heads GC, Kim hopes the move to the large port city will be a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a reason the biggest Asian Film Festival is not in Seoul, but is in Busan,\u201d Kim said. \u201cThere\u2019s something about that place that adds a little more flavour to things. We\u2019re very excited about going.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is evidence that Korea is ready to embrace the team as their own. According to Kim, unofficial merchandise sporting the KGC logo sprang up online almost as soon as it was made public.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s when I was like, Oh, I think we did something good here,\u201d Kim said.<\/p>\n
