For the first time in a decade, the Carolina Panthers<\/a> are entering the new league year as NFC South champions<\/a>. And to keep that title where it is, they’ll have to grow stronger this offseason.<\/p>\n

That defense starts now, with the unofficial start of free agency. As the legal tampering period opens at 12 p.m. ET on Monday, teams are permitted to negotiate and agree upon deals with free agents.<\/p>\n
